Holy Shit what a series and playoff run. Though I know Oiler country is down to not bring it home. But my goodness what a run. What a showing by the boys. Even though McDavid and Draisaitl, cracked ribs and all, didnt end up lifting the cup and scoring in the last two games. They held their own against Floridas best and didnt give up much in the D zone. McDavid almost broke the Greatest One's Playoff scoring record. Mark my words, McDavid is not done growing into himself and next year we will all see another level from him. 150 plus points. This team goes back to the WCF at minimum barring injury. And my 1st team is Dallas, yes I am from Texas and have followed DTv for years. I am Proud of these guys. The bottom 6, the D Core. Skinner really playing better than I believed him to be. He is a true gamer! But also the fans. My goodness Edmonton was ROCKING!!! That is why I love this team, partly anyway. The Passion you all have is unbelievable and I WILL get to a game one day! Bucket Listed already! Team is moving on from that anchor called GM Holland. I am truly excited for this team and what happens next season... Play La Bamba Baby!!! I LOVE Hockey and this team! Holland had the best luck of any gm ever really lol . Dude inherriated basically as close as you could hope to the perfect team top to bottom set up for his first 3\4 of his career then was hired by a team with the best player of an era and aother thats in the top 10 of that era . Cant help but like kenny .. i spent my young years with him as the gm of my team so hes got a bit of nostalgic magic with me . Maybhe have a wonderful post hockey life

This is s good news. He does know how to trade a good goalie. But he did brought the oilers a good coach

Ken Holland is a Money Ball example of the "Halo" effect. In short, his experience and gratificaction was under the Little Caesars empire in Detroit. He was a goalie in the NHL and his first professional mgmt. position was as a Goalie Coach with the Red Wings. Did he make it as a GM for 4 Stanely Cups? Yes, but again, it was a Halo affect for him in Detroit. The hard work was already done by his predecessors. Overall he was a failure for the Oilers and has essentially handcuffed the Oilers from getting a Stanely Cup. Ken, it's time to hang up your goalie skates.

He should take darnell nurse with him, he's the only one who thought nurse was worth 9.25mil per season. And now the Oilers are stuck with him for another 8 fucking years. Thanks Holland, you've screwed this team for the next decade. No cup coming here as long as nurse is here.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡👎😡😡🙂

At the end of the day, results matter more than feelings. Ken Holland made mistakes, all GMs do, but his tenure brought more success in 5 years than we've seen in the 13 years prior. Besides Glen Sather, who was better?

dude ruined my Wings for a long time by trading away 1st rounders for garbage players over 30. I see he gave away 1st's for Henreek and Ekholm. Typical Kenny "weak sauce" Hollandaise as we called him in Detroit. The Oilers in 10 years will be in a repetitive rebuild and sitting on the bottom 1/3 of the league. was so happy when he left.

Holland has made few mistakes as a GM. His largest glaring error that may haunt him forever, was upping the Nurse contract to 9.25 million per annum, when he should be paid the league minimum only. 3:07 3:07

Hi, we need new mentality and get big players and we need strong guys to protect McDavid.

I think Holland did a good job, except for overpaying on the Nurse contract. The Campbell signing was unfortunate, but I don't fault Holland for it.

Thought Ken Holland did a great job. Had to deal with the cap. Had to deal with a 10 million dollar defenceman thats worth 4.5 million. Thanks Ken, will be missed.

Ppl are so ungrateful when he took over we were dead n cover in the previous gm mess. No gm is perfect and it's all a gamble on deals we were one win away from the cup being ours when was the last time we could have said that, 2006. Yes nurse 9mill still stink and Campbell experiment didn't work out, but look how much teams signing fail every year, Calgary just traded their supposedly start goaltending that took Calgary offer over our, it's not like we were trying to find goalie and defenseman. I welcome the new management and hope they can carry on and bring the victory where Ken foundation was laid, a cup or 3.

He knew he wasn't returning two years ago. too many shady deals with Steve Y in Detroit . and crippled our draft for 5 years now. we had drink games in Edmonton every time he mentioned his Stanley cups and Detroit you take a shot.. he never once said before the cap era. pizza money with an unlimited wallet . i could be the GM of the year without a cap.

I won't miss him....yes..he brought Hyman, Kane and Ekholm here...but he also made the team much smaller and soft and refused to accept the fact the defence was weak as was the goaltending.

At the end of the day, the panthers had a much better coach. If the coaches are switched, Edm takes it in 5 or 6 games.
